Ghost Cookies Made Easy
These spooky cookies are always a big hit!
1 package white chocolate chips or white chocolate candy coating
1 package chocolate chips (semi sweet)
1 package Nutter Butter Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies
Heat white chocolate chips or candy coating in microwave safe bowl in 30 second increments, stirring each time to check consistency. Heat until just melted.
Dip cookies into melted white chocolate until covered completely. Set on wax paper to harden. Decorate each ghost cookie with two chocolate chip pieces for eyes.
Eyeball Soup
Nutritious and delicious, watching guests reaction is as much fun as eating this yummy soup.
1 cup frozen pearl or very small whole onions, thawed
1 can tomato juice (46 ounce) V8 works well
4 cups milk
¼ cup butter and ¼ cup flour
1 tsp. salt
Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour and salt.
Gradually stir in milk, bring to gentle boil and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until thickened.
In separate pan, heat tomato juice just to a slight boil, reduce heat and slowly stir in sauce from first pan. Add onions and heat thoroughly for a few more minutes.
Pumpkin Joes
This twist on Sloppy Joes keeps guests guessing what the secret ingredient might be. This recipe can also be made with sloppy joe mix, beef and 1 cup canned pumpkin to make preparation even easier.
1 pound ground beef
½ cup small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup canned pumpkin
2 Tablespoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
8 slices of American cheese
Brown 1 pound ground beef ; add onion and garlic and cook until tender.
Add pumpkin, tomato sauce, mustard, chili powder and brown sugar and stir to blend.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Cut pumpkin faces with cookie cutters out of American cheese.
Or slices of triangles and smiles can also be cut with a knife if no cookie cutter is available.
Divide sloppy joe mix among 8 sandwich buns, top with cheese pumpkin face and serve with bun top on the side
Easy Finger Food or Zombie Fingers
This recipe is so simple yet looks so real.
1 package mozzarella string cheese
1 green pepper or almond slices
1 teaspoon cream cheese
Using a small knife, cut each piece of string cheese in half. Carve a small area out of the tip of each piece for a fingernail.
Slice one or two small lines horizontal underneath the nail, across the finger. Also mark a few lines in the middle to make knuckle joints.
Slice green pepper into 3/8 inch wide strips and trim skin off, leaving just pulp. Cut strips into fingernail size pieces and stick one to the end of each finger, adhering with a dab of cream cheese. An almond can also be used in place of green pepper for a fingernail
