Halloween Party Fun for KidsHosting the Perfect Children's Halloween Bash
Kids love Halloween! Here are some tips for a fun Halloween party for kids.
Next to Christmas, Halloween is the most celebrated holiday in America. Kids look forward every year to planning their costumes, and they remember the houses in the neighborhood that have the best candy- including the one with the full size candy bars! Here are some tips for hosting a Halloween party for kids. Halloween Party Fun: Trick or TreatWhen will the party be? Coordinate with the trick or treating in your area- which should traditionally be October 31 but isn't always. If it's a Friday or Saturday night, why not have the neighborhood kids over after trick or treating? They'll be too sugared up to sleep, so they may as well hang out at a children's Halloween party with their pals- a great photo op with them all in their costumes! Halloween Party Fun: PinataYeah, they have enough candy after trick or treating. But they have the CUTEST kids Halloween party pinatas at party stores or on Oriental Trading , so pick out an adorable witch hat or ghost pinata and have fun filling it with tiny treasures. Let your kids help fill it for the party- Halloween stickers, tiny costumed rubber duckies, eyeball bouncy balls and other spooky goodies are tons of sugar-free fun for the kids. Halloween Party Fun: Games & CraftsPin the nose on the pumpkin, pumpkin decorating, make-your-own-haunted-house sticker sets and lots of other kids Halloween games and crafts are available on Oriental Trading & other websites. If you set up a few activity stations for the kids, they can pick and choose from a few cool crafts or games. If you have an older child or two available, consider hiring them to lead the games & crafts at the party so the grown-ups can relax and sneak a Snickers or two from the treat bags.
