Create photo and video magic this holiday season by crafting a giant Christmas present photo prop and using fun holiday online tools.

Santa's not the only "star" this Christmas. Everybody can get in on the fun, whether posing as a "human" Christmas present or using entertaining websites, which allow users to upload their own photographs to create fun and festive holiday videos and photographs.

Christmas Present Photo Prop Craft/Activity

Say cheese! Kids and adults will love smiling for the camera, masquerading as a giant Christmas present. With an ordinary box and some wrapping paper, it's easy to create a unique Christmas present photo prop that's fun to use at parties, in the classroom or just at home for whimsical holiday pictures.

Supplies Needed:

  • A large box
  • Wrapping paper
  • Wired ribbon
  • Large Gift Tag (optional)
  • Box cutter
  • Camera
  • Santa hat (optional)

How to Make the Photo Prop:

  1. Use the box cutter to cut off all the flaps to the box.
  2. Position the box so that it’s taller rather than wider. Cut a semicircle opening in the top of the box. When cutting out the semicircle, keep in mind that the opening created will be used to position a person's head in the box so that the rest of the box appears to be the subject's body.
  3. Cover the box in holiday-themed wrapping paper, attaching the ribbon and a gift tag if desired.

How to Use the Photo Prop:

  1. Have the person who is getting his/her picture taken crouch down behind/inside the box so that their head rests in the semi-circular opening, and the rest of the body is hidden.
  2. Place a Santa hat on his/her head if desired.
  3. Smile! It's time to snap a picture.

Office Max and Jib Jab partner up to reprise the popular Elf Yourself videos. Users can create a festive and silly video using photographs of themselves. Up to five "elves" can star in the personalized holiday production, and the finished product can be e-mailed to friends and family.

A photo of the subject is all that's needed to get started. Completed pictures can be printed out and shared.
