Afterwards, as the lull of the tryptophan sets in, gather the family and friends for a showing of Home for the Holidays, directed by Jodie Foster. One day, Santa encourages Buddy (Ferrell) to learn about his heritage and sends him to a wondrous place called...New York City. Buddy’s elf culture comically clashes with his new New York family, especially during dinner. Elves love sugar, and he pours maple syrup over everything! This charmingly innocent movie explores the definition of family, as well as the true meaning of Christmas. To get into the sugary spirit of the film, have the guests dress up in their best elf attire. Make a batch of waffles for everyone and break out the maple syrup. Make it even more festive by putting out bowls full of bite sized candy to sprinkle over the waffles. It will be a feast worthy of the North Pole! The DVD of Elf is full of interactive special features, including a karaoke section! After the movie, while the guest are still coming down from their sugar high, turn on the karaoke and enjoy some classic Christmas carols. They had some of the best holiday episodes and they lured in some stellar guest stars, including Brad Pitt, Christina Applegate and Selma Blair. Season seven resulted in one of their most celebrated holiday episodes, when Ross decided he wanted to teach his young son Ben about his Jewish heritage. Ben, however, still wanted Santa to visit him, so in order to get him excited about Hanukkah, Ross set out to find a costume that will be as exciting to Ben as Santa. Gather friends and family together and encourage them to dress up in their favorite holiday character. Encourage guests to even create some new holiday characters and have everyone guess who they are and what holiday they represent. Provide some holiday snacks that represent different cultures to create a delightfully eclectic holiday party The One with the Holiday Armadillo, is a charmingly funny episode that will teach people of all faiths about Hanukkah.
