Whether he is a sports fanatic or handy man, finding great gifts for men is made easy this holiday season with these ideas.

For reasons unknown, it can be especially difficult to come up with gift ideas for men. Sure, there are always gift cards, cologne, or shaving kits, but finding something more personal can prove challenging. These Christmas gift ideas are based on personality and favorite hobbies of the male loved one, making them unique and special to the receiver.

Sports Fanatic

One easy, and fairly inexpensive, gift idea for the sports fan is the jersey. Jerseys can be found online representing every professional team of the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL. Not only will he look great, but he will be ready for the next game season with this must-have sports clothing gear.

Another option is autographed gear: balls, shirts, photographs, etc. These are collectable items that will be treasured for years to come.

Companies have been producing bobblehead doll collectibles that represent famous players and favorite teams for over 150 years. A sports inspired bobblehead will provide fun decoration for any man's office or home.

Another must-have for the avid sports fan is a tailgate tent. These can be found online and provide shade and shelter during pre-game tailgating parties.

Handy Man

Maybe the handy man already has one, but why not improve upon the older model by giving him an upscale Swiss Army knife, with more included tools and gadgets. This inexpensive and portable tool is perfect for everyday activities and quick-fixes.

A digital tape measure is another gift that will please the handy man. This tool is used as much as a screwdriver or hammer, and makes precision measurements a breeze. The digital tape measure gives exact lengths read-outs, so there is no more straining to read the 1/16" markers.

Another avenue to take would be the more expensive option of increasing or improving his tool collection. Power tools can be pricey, but every do-it-yourself male needs them to get the job done.

Workaholic

One thing that every working man needs is an alarm clock that will not fail. The Neverlate Executive Alarm Clock has numerous applications that make it impossible to oversleep, including multiple alarm settings and sounds.

Another great gift idea for those who have a busy schedule is a tear-away planner mousepad. With this item, the man who spends most of his time at the computer will always have his day organized. These can be found online at ThinkGeek.com.

The red Swingline stapler is another fun gift for office men. Made popular through the hit movie, Office Space, this product will be easily seen amongst the beige and white paperwork with its bright color. Plus, staplers are items that belong on every desk and get used multiple times a day.

Gamer

For the gamer in the family, there are always new exciting videogames that are released, for the many different consoles, that would be perfect for Christmas. These games can be expensive, but half.com offers many of today's most popular videogames at a fraction of the price.

For devoted gamers who want to feel as though they are in the game, the FPS gaming vest might be the perfect gift. This item creates spatial awareness of the world the game's character inhabits, taking game play beyond sight and sound. Works with numerous, extremely popular computer games such as "World of Warcraft" and more.

Everyone knows that in order to boost that gamerscore, it is important to keep the hands and fingers strong. With the Xtensor Gamer Hand Exerciser, the male gamer will not let that pesky button mashing tire him again. This item is able to stimulate muscles and tendons in the hands, wrists and elbows which can help relieve arthritis pain and tennis elbow in addition to improving videogame stats.

Happy Shopping!

This year, men don't have to get stuck with a handful of gift cards, but can receive special, meaningful gifts for Christmas that relate to his interests and hobbies. The holidays can be made stress-free with these present ideas for men, whether they are a gamer or workaholic, handy man or sports fanatic. Happy Holidays!
