Why spend money on expensive trick-or-treat bags? You can \make your own by recycling cereal or other cardboard food produce boxes you may have around the house.
To embellish the boxes, all you will need are some Halloween-theme leftover wrapping paper or magazines. If you don’t have any magazines or Halloween-theme wrapping paper, get the kids to make some spooky drawings that you can use instead. Then before you can say "Trick or treat," you and the kids will have created original and unique treat boxes everyone else will envy. If you have no kids but are planning an adults Halloween party, why not delight your guests with trick or treat containers filled with goodies that they can take home at the end of the evening? For these containers, you can use slightly more sophisticated wrapping paper but don’t go to a lot of trouble. For a few dollars you can buy attractive paper at your local paper shop or dollar store. And instead of cereal boxes, use cardboard coffee cans or similar containers. All you need to do is measure and cut the paper to the same height at the can. Then you can wrap and glue the paper around the can, add a handle, and fill with goodies. Kids’ Trick-or-Treat BoxesWhat You Will Need
