Last-minute Christmas shopping can be stressful and expensive. Here are some tips for not showing up to Holiday gatherings empty handed.

The Holidays often rush upon us. Planning in advance for gifts and Holiday parties simply will not happen for many people. Last minute gifts do not have to equal thoughtless or cheap. Spending an hour trying to find personalized gifts in a drug store on Christmas Eve is not a good plan. The gifts purchased may not be items the gift recipient even wants. Last minute shoppers often panic, after panicking bad shopping choices are usually made. Here are some great last minute Christmas presents that will work for any budget.

Last-Minute Holiday

Waiting until the absolute last minute to plan for the Holidays can be extremely expensive. Booking Holiday flights at the last possible moment may involve upgrading to first class or business class if the flight is full. Always ask for first class seats when an airline representative states the flight is full. Avoid panicking, last minute travel plans may need to be flexible to visit loved ones for the Holidays.

Last-Minute Christmas Gifts

Many last minute Holiday traps involve travel by plane, train, or even bus. There may not be a lot of focused time for planning and shopping for gifts. The gifts would then need to be held onto until arriving at the destination. Traveling with numerous excess items may be a security issue. Rental cars with gifts in obvious Christmas gift wrap may be easily stolen by local thieves.

Christmas Gift Cards

Purchase Christmas gift cards that are store specific. Think about which store has items suited for each person on the last-minute gift list. Gift cards can be a bit more personal than inserting cash into a white envelope with a hand written name.

Christmas Cards

Christmas cards that contain the hand selected Christmas gift cards are a good last-minute gift choices. Hand write a warm written Christmas greeting inside of the card. This personal touch with the flexibility of the recipient being able to buy whatever they want is important.

Cash

In the event there is no access to Christmas gift cards, go to a secure ATM. Hand write Christmas cards and add in cash. Hand deliver the Christmas cards to each friend, loved one, or family member.

Last-minute holiday gifts do not always need to tangible items, sometimes there is just no time to shop. Bring small gifts to the home of the hostess for short holiday stays. Bottles of wine, holiday cakes, and fruit baskets from local vendors make great gifts. Use these tips to give tasteful last minute Christmas gifts.
